Uniline Safety Systems

Central Birmingham’s award winning Masshouse apartment building can now be counted as one of the latest projects to benefit from the installation of Uniline’s unique, non penetrative, standing seam secured abseil and access RoofSafe Rail system. The specification of RoofSafe coupled with the considered appointment of a Uniline ’Select Systems Integration Partner’ - The Safety Centre, have ensured that design, installation and certification processes surpass CDM compliance requirements at a competitive cost without compromising aesthetics.
 
The Masshouse RoofSafe rail system has been designed and will be utilised to enable safe ’roped’ access (reference BS7985 2002) to the building facade, as well as for routine roof inspection and maintenance, in accordance with requirements specified through Helix Industrial Roofing.
 
Mike Partridge, Project Manager, explained that the RoofSafe system is very portable in respect of manual handling, simplistic to install, competitive and can be fitted safely in circumstances where cable systems cannot - thereby providing the Safety Centre with something unique to offer in a wire dominated market place.
