Uniline Safety Systems

ALBA is the new synchrotron under construction near Barcelona. The Consortium for the Exploitation of the Synchrotron Light Laboratory (CELLS) is in charge of ALBA’s construction and operation. ALBA is co-financed by the Spanish government and the Catalan government.

After details of this project had been received, Uniline drew up a proposed layout of the systems to be used, which due to the short distance between one roof section and another; were designed mainly for restraint purposes.

The problem of the different widths between the standing seams had to be addressed, and as the photos show, the roof design meant the standing seam configuration was not constant.

Thanks to the excellent work and collaboration between Uniline Safety Systems departments and our distributor Vertisub, a solution was offered and delivered on time with a total of over 160 Special Force Management Posts making up eleven Uni 8 Systems with an overall length superior to 1500m.

Vertisub not only won the contract but also completed the installation within the stipulated time.
